Labrador Inuit Settlement Area - Regional Planning Authority

The Labrador Inuit Land Claims Agreement called for the establishment of the Regional Planning Authority for the Labrador Inuit Settlement Area (LISA). The Authority is to direct the preparation of a Regional Land Use Plan for LISA that is to respect the rights of the Labrador Inuit and will: guide the use of land, water and natural resource; and optimize social, cultural and economic benefits for the Labrador Inuit and other residents of the Labrador Inuit Settlement Area.
